Vijay Nair | | Send them a notice of eviction. If they do not relent, pursue legal remedies of eviction. There are other related issues, which have to be gone into before providing a better and specific answer.

SOEB FATEHI | | before going for legal help make a fact file.
1. list out the documents in your possession pertaining to the said property including forgotten documents like bank records for payments of electricity bills and telephone bills, registered post ad cards, tax notices received at the said address, etc.
2. list out missing ownership documents and lease documents which should exist or had existed but are not traceable.
3. list of people in the neighborhood who you imagine can be witnesses.
btw - if you have been accepting lease rent or lease royalty or any consideration even after the expiry of lease and have no document showing your notice to the lesee/tenant of your willingness or unwillingness to continue the lease or desire to amend terms then it is defacto acceptance of your willingness for renewal and continuance of the lease. this will make you have to work much harder to evict no matter what the rules say.
