May 14, 2007 5:07 pm General Introduction

John J. Maalouf
Hello Everyone:

I'm new to the group, my name is John Maalouf and I am Chairman of Maalouf Law Firm, I split my time between the firm's New York City and Hong Kong offices. I joined the group to discuss various matters dealing with the increase in global transactions and the dismantling of trade barriers. My areas practice are International Trade & Finance Law. For those of you with insomnia I include a summary of a few recent transactions at the end of this intro so that you will have a flavor of the type of law which we practice. Also, by way of background, the U.S. Lawyer Rankings for 2006 and 2007 have listed my firm as one of the "Top 10" in the Nation in the area of "International Trade & Finance". The link to the rankings is set forth below:

I look forward to intellectually stimulating conversations with everyone. As an initial question, what are your thoughts on the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and it's effect on U.S. IPO's?

Best regards,

John
